Connect Roadway to Salesforce Account

  1. Click the gear icon on the top right of the screen and select Setup.
  2. In the left navigation bar, under Administration, go to Users > Users.
  3. Click New User and fill out the following details:
    • First Name: Roadway
    • Last Name: Service Account
    • Alias: Roadway
    • Email: service@roadwayai.com
    • Username: This will auto-populate based on the email.
  • Leave Role unspecified.
  • Select Salesforce Platform for the User License.
  • Select Standard Platform User for the Profile.
  1. Decide whether to generate a new password and notify the user.
  2. Click Save.

Create a New Permission Set

  1. In the left navigation bar, select Users > Permission Sets.
  2. Click New to create a new permission set.
  3. Enter a descriptive label name (e.g., “Roadway Integration Access”). The API name will auto-populate based on the label.
  4. Leave License set to –None—, then click Save.
  5. After creating the permission set, navigate to Object Settings to define the permissions:
    • Click Object Settings.
    • Select the relevant Object Name for each object the service account needs access to (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities).
    • Click Edit, check the Read and Create permissions, and uncheck all other permissions (Edit, Delete).
    • Click Save.
  6. Continue adding read and create permissions for any additional objects needed for service@roadwayai.com.

Assign the Permission Set

  1. From the Permission Sets page, click Manage Assignments next to the permission set you created.
  2. Click Add Assignments.
  3. Find and select the user service@roadwayai.com created in Step 1.
  4. Click Assign.

What Happens Next?

After access is granted, we will use Salesforce API to retrieve the necessary authentication tokens. This will enable us to securely sync your ad data to your Roadway workspace.
